Bike lanes between papermill rd and Willow Grove Ave will cause major traffic backups

Ryan Latimer•2 months ago The area between Papermill and Willow Grove Ave is constantly congested with vehicles especially early in the morning and afternoon near LaSalle High School and in the morning and evening for commuter traffic. I have left this comment before but please seriously consider those of us who have to live in the area with the bad traffic already by not making it worse. Adding bike lanes here is only going to make the traffic stress worse and may lead to pedestrian accidents from unprotected bike lanes. The bike lanes added to Bethlehem Pike are nearly useless because they're not wide enough and not protected. No one uses those bike lanes and it only increased traffic stress in the area. Doing this same thing to Cheltenham Ave will only lead to worse quality of living for those of us along this corridor and neighboring roads already dealing with overflow traffic. WE DO NOT WANT THIS!

Adding bike lanes will make traffic along this route much slower. School time traffic will make getting into or out of our neighborhood impossible. The road is so busy it is not safe for pedestrians or bicycles with or without bike lanes.
