Bike Montco 1.5

Bike Montco 1.5 is an update to our on-road bicycle plan, Bike Montco originally published in 2018. The proliferation of electric micromobility (e-mobility) devices on our roadway and trail networks has emphasized the need for Montgomery County to adopt a county-wide bicycle plan update.

This plan update will place a special focus on the latest information and trends of e-mobility while seeking to understand its growing role within our communities. The plan update will also feature a new bicycle network map that prioritizes connections on low-stress traffic streets.

The goal of this plan is to keep residents aware of new, alternative modes of transportation utilized by our neighbors, to advocate for improved dedicated bicycle infrastructure on our roadways where warranted, and to plan for safe travel for all modes throughout our transportation network.
