Topic input - Open Space and the Environment

Thanks for all of your feedback. Here are some of the main things that we heard:

The top concern related to the environment was preserving open space.

77% of respondents on Engage Montco identified loss of tree cover or open space as their major environmental concern. 

When asked what you find valuable about open space, the top answers were:

·        Biodiversity and wildlife habitat

·        Having undeveloped land

·        Public access and community use

Air and water quality were a top concern for over half of respondents. (51% air, 52% water)

When asked if you had ever been impacted by an environmental or infrastructure hazard, the most common hazards were:

·        Flooding

·        Power outages

Many respondents were very concerned about weather-related impacts of climate change. You were concerned about future storms, heat impacts, flooding, wildlife habitat, and more.
